1Cr 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
1Cr 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
1Cr 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
1Cr 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
1Cr 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
1Cr 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
From now until we die, what we do for God is building on a foundation. What we do for God will be tested and God tests our works by throwing our work into the fire. Wood, hay and stubble are all flammable materials and will be burned up. Gold, Silver and precious stones aren't flammable and will survive the test.
What are we doing for Jesus and will we be content with the rewards of this life? From now until we die is the only time that we can work for rewards. Some people feel they are doing enough but what happens if their works, my works or your works burn up? Will you be content with your rewards? You think you are doing enough now but will you feel the same way if all your works burn up then? And what if you aren't doing something? Will you have any rewards and will it be enough?
Maybe you don't know what to do but you can do something. You might not know how to teach but you can teach someone. You might not know enough but you might know more than someone else. Get involved here and we will teach you.
