I think that all of the candidates and the different political parties have serious problems (even Huckabee has taken money and assistance from the Word of Faith teachers) but by declaring myself for one party, I alienate myself because you can only vote for one candidate and by siding with one party a person looks ignorant to people in the other party as if I'm ignoring the problems of the day but I'm not blind to each side. Which of the two candidates is the lesser evil to vote for and only righteousness will exalt a nation and none of the candidates are really running for Messiah! We think that the candidates can make things better but the candidates have to listen to the people and many of them are not reading their Bible and the Bible says that this world will be deceived and that satan is the god of this world (2 Cor. 4:4).
Pro 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin [is] a reproach to any people.
You want to heal your country or my country? Then listen to what the word says and do it:
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
I think that Christianity would be more attractive if there were more Christians in the Democratic party but pro-life views are not allowed so the Christians have gone to the Republican party and have aligned themselves with big business while those most concerned with social issues (helping your fellow man) go to the Democratic party.
If you were to go to the Republican National Convention and Democratic National Convention Website, you would see that each party is different than how they started out because people needing to get what they want seems to have more power over their own history.
I would rather see the Church and God take care of people than pay to have my government take care of me on social issues and become God in the sense that government takes care of people and that is a problem when churches don't have money or when people have an inability to trust or if they seem indifferent because they feel you should take care of yourself.
A problem is a shrinking middle class in America so there will be this tendency to ask government to take care of us or for government to do for us what we can't do for ourselves and in many a case, people may switch to the Democratic party or the Republican party will have to reach out to those who need help.
